Building
Process
Building a new home
often is described as “a nightmare” or a “nerve-racking”
experience. At Aspen Homes, Inc., we pride ourselves by quoting some of
our past customers:
“We recently
moved into our new home and I wanted to write to thank you for all of
your help. Dealing with you and Aspen Homes, Inc., was a pleasure. When
we first decided to build a house we were swamped by friends with horror
stories of delays and problems. I am glad to say our experience was just
the opposite. Our house was completed on time and the few problems that
did arise were quickly handled. Always feel free to use us as a reference,
or to show our house. We would be glad to help you in any way we can.
You have built us a home we are proud to live in. Thanks again, and keep
up the good work.” - Karl and Janis S.
“Tom and I wish
to thank all of you at Aspen Homes, Inc., for a very pleasant building
experience. We really appreciated the fact that you were always accessible
to answer our questions and to keep us informed every step of the way
during the entire construction process. You have built us a beautiful
home that we are happy to live in and proud to own.” –Tom
and Linda S.
“My wife June and I had never built before and were aware of negative
experiences some of our acquaintances have had with home builders. We
had a very positive experience with all the people at Aspen Homes. We
were very pleased with the excellent communication process throughout
construction. We love our new home.” - Mick R.
“Well, it has
been almost a year and we still love our house. We recommend your company
to everyone we know. Our building experience was amazingly smooth and
we thank you for it” – Holly & Larry
“I cannot tell
you how happy we are with our home! Building with Aspen Homes was a wonderful
experience. If we had to do it again, we’d choose you in a heartbeat!’’
Rhonda & Jeff
“Thank you again
and AGAIN, for all you did for us this year – We love our new home!!”
Kurt, Dawn & the kids
“Thank you SO
MUCH – we couldn’t have done it without you! Aspen Homes is
fantastic to work with before, during after and WAY after the building
process – you’ve spoiled us for any other builder.”
Christine & David
“Thanks again
for making our house project easy for us. It’s a rarity that things
get done on time these days. Your communication with us was also outstanding.
Thanks again.” Tom & Nancy
“I’ve
built two houses with Aspen Homes. We had such great experience with them
the first time, that we didn’t even explore other builders. Some
things we would like to share about Aspen Homes:
· Small enough that you get personalized attention, but large &
well connected enough that they don’t have labor/supplier problems
· Quality & attention to detail
· Just plain fun to work with – they are all very nice folks
with high standards
· Steady relationships with subcontractors – they work with
quality people and treat them well, so you get good subs working on your
house
· Very neat jobsite
· Very meticulous work (Jeff, their expeditor, is fantastic)
When we sold both houses, customer comments were consistently “this
is one of the best built homes I’ve ever seen”. In fact, I
think a few of the people that looked at our house, ended up building
with Aspen Homes. We just Aspen Homes could build us a house in Utah”
Chris
So you might be asking yourself “Why doesn’t everybody have
a good experience building a house?, or “What’s the secret
ingredient that seems to be missing?” At Aspen Homes, Inc., we feel
that the key to a successful building process is communication.
Communication starts
first with you and/or your family at home. Talking about things you like
in your present home, and about things that you would like to have in
your new home. It continues when you visit an Aspen Homes, Inc., model
home and discuss features you like, and maybe features you would like
to change in an Aspen home. Our sales associate communicates with you
by educating you with the building process, and by demonstrating key features
in our homes. Ultimately upgrades and/or changes are priced out by Aspen
Homes, Inc., and you are given a formal proposed building price for a
customized home built on your lot.
Once our sales associate
has gone over the building process with you, and you have decided on all
items you would like in your new home, it is now time to write up the
Building Construction Contract. Aspen Homes, Inc., uses a standardized
contract set forth by the Metropolitan Builders Association. A contract
is needed to protect yourself, as well as the builder, against unfair
price increases and construction time. A contract is also the best, and
only way for you to know exactly what it is that you will be getting in
your new home. Along with signing the Building Construction Contract,
Aspen Homes, Inc., requires a $5,000.00, down payment to begin preliminary
planning of your new home.
